Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle management team, the remote Accounts Receivable Representative III will manage the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from third-party payers, including contacting insurance companies and processing appeals.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for status updates on outstanding claims and process appeals as needed
• Work through assigned accounts receivable queues while maintaining productivity standards and an accuracy rating of 97% or greater
• Identify trends in accounts receivable and communicate findings to leadership while maintaining confidentiality

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or healthcare preferred
• Basic proficiency in spreadsheet applications and data entry with high accuracy
• Understanding of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of insurance processing and guidelines
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes is advantageous
