Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

To facilitate the timely collection of owed funds, the part-time Accounts Receivable Representative will engage with insurance carriers and patients, manage billing discrepancies, and ensure compliance with payer contracts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with insurance carriers and patients to resolve account issues and expedite payment
• Utilize knowledge of coding and billing guidelines to address payment discrepancies and negotiate with payers
• Maintain accurate billing records and logs while ensuring compliance with organizational policies

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• One year of experience in medical billing, collections, or managed care
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
• Completion of staff development within six months of hire date
