Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

Working full-time in the Accounts Receivable department, the Associate Accounts Receivable Representative will manage patient account follow-up, ensuring accurate and timely payments from insurance companies and self-pay patients while adhering to company policies and goals.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate payments from primary and secondary payers and self-pay patients
• Conduct thorough and timely follow-up on patient accounts to maintain accurate accounts receivable reporting
• Resolve denials and reimbursement issues while meeting cash collection metrics and goals

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with denials and appeals
• Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and reading medical policies from payers
• Previous healthcare experience
