Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

Overseeing the unpostables process within the Revenue Cycle Management National Team, the full-time Accounts Receivable Representative will identify, research, and resolve unapplied cash and discrepancies in patient accounts while collaborating with various departments to improve processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage unpostables by researching and resolving unmatched records related to insurance and patient payments
• Reconcile re-adjudicated claims and make independent decisions regarding claim adjustments and appeals
• Train internal teams and collaborate with practice consultants to ensure optimal revenue cycle functionality

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate
• 3+ years of experience in a medical billing office or equivalent claims experience
• New Jersey provider and payer experience preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Experience with athenaHealth and/or athenaOne preferred
