Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

To support revenue cycle management, the remote Accounts Receivable Representative II will manage collections of outstanding accounts receivable from third-party payers, including contacting insurance companies, processing appeals, and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for status updates on outstanding claims and process appeals as needed
• Work with assigned accounts receivable queues to resolve outstanding balances and maintain productivity standards
• Audit adjustment requests and ensure accuracy in claims processing while maintaining confidentiality

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
• 1-3 years of professional experience in healthcare and accounts receivable preferred
• Basic understanding of medical terminology, insurance processing, and relevant guidelines
• Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy and familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
• Strong skills in computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
