Accounts Receivable Representative

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle management team, the remote Accounts Receivable Representative II will manage collections of outstanding accounts receivable from third-party payers, including processing appeals and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for status updates on outstanding claims and process appeals as necessary
• Work through assigned accounts receivable queues while maintaining productivity standards and accuracy ratings
• Identify trends in accounts and communicate findings to leadership while maintaining confidentiality

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
• 1-3 years of professional experience in healthcare and accounts receivable is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, and medical terminology
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
• Proficiency in computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams
