Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Managing accounts for healthcare clients, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will track payments, resolve billing discrepancies, and post payments while working remotely in Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage A/R accounts by tracking payments, applying them accurately, and following up on overdue balances
• Collect and negotiate with patients or insurers to resolve billing discrepancies and arrange payment plans
• Analyze aging reports to prioritize work, escalate trends, and generate performance reports

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in revenue cycle functions within a healthcare or ASC environment
• Familiarity with patient accounting software (e.g., Advantx, HST, Vision, SIS Complete)
• Knowledge of payer contracts, EOBs, and HIPAA compliance
• Experience working in payer portals like Availity or Waystar
