Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist II responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and authorization for healthcare services
• Conduct research and manage unpaid or denied claims
• Contact payers to secure payment of claims and write appeal letters as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up
• Experience with billing errors, claim resubmission, and reviewing EOB and UB-04 forms
• Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and third-party payer billing procedures
• Experience with accounts receivable software and navigating payer sites
