Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make calls to patients, hospitals, and insurers to research claims and obtain information
• Contact insurance carriers regarding the status of past due accounts and handle denials and appeals
• Document account activities and follow up on unpaid claims and self-pay accounts

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of claims, billing, and collection experience
• Customer service experience is required
• Prior collections or medical billing experience with a basic understanding of ICD10 and HCPCS is preferred
• Basic knowledge of insurance and claims processing is preferred
