Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist I, Physician Billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on complex claims for payment by contacting insurance companies and utilizing payor websites
• Review rejections from assigned payors to determine validity and take appropriate actions to resolve invoices
• Calculate and post adjustments based on third-party reimbursement guidelines and make necessary changes to payors or responsible parties

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Previous Revenue Cycle knowledge in areas such as PFS, Customer Service, Cash Posting, Financial Assistance, Patient Access, HIM/Coding, or 3rd party Reimbursement
• Ability to perform tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others
• One or more years of experience in health care billing functions is preferred
