Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist II responsible for the timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify or obtain patient eligibility and authorization for healthcare services
• Conduct research on unpaid or denied claims and secure payment by contacting payers
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, including HIPAA and other applicable laws

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up
• Experience identifying billing errors and resubmitting claims
• Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and third-party payer billing procedures
• At least two years of experience with accounts receivable software
