Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Representative responsible for processing health insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Research authorizations, manage pended claims, and maintain a balance of health insurance claims
• Identify non-payment trends and prepare documentation for appeals
• Process insurance carrier correspondence and keep current on relevant carrier information

Required Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
• At least five (5) years of experience in Medical Billing and insurance claim filing
• Familiarity with medical billing software
• Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology: ICD and CPT codes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
