A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and obtain eligibility and authorization using various systems and communication with insurance providers
• Research and monitor unpaid or denied claims, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information while securing necessary medical documentation for claims processing

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 1-2 years of medical collections or billing experience
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and NCCI coding
• Familiarity with third-party billing guidelines and billing claim forms (UB04/1500)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic understanding of health information systems such as EMR and Patient Accounting Systems
