Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Representative to manage outstanding accounts receivable from patients and third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for updates on outstanding claims
• Process and follow up on appeals to insurance companies and communicate with patients regarding payments
• Maintain accuracy and productivity standards while handling accounts receivable

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration is preferred
• Two years of collection experience in a healthcare setting required
• Basic knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, and laws
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
• Proficiency in using spreadsheets and basic computer applications
