Job Summary
Working fully remote, the full-time Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for collecting outstanding accounts receivable from patients and third-party payers, including managing insurance claims and patient communications.
Key responsibilities
- Contact insurance companies for status updates on outstanding claims and process appeals as necessary
- Engage with patients to arrange payments or payment plans for outstanding balances
- Maintain accuracy and productivity standards while managing a daily workload of 40-50 accounts
Required qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
- Two years of collection experience in a healthcare setting is required
- Basic knowledge of insurance processing, managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and OneNote
