Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle process, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure accurate patient account follow-up, manage collections from insurance companies, and resolve denials while working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate payments from primary and secondary payers and self-pay patients
• Conduct thorough follow-up on patient accounts to maintain accurate accounts receivable reporting
• Resolve reimbursement issues and collaborate with insurance payers and internal teams on past due accounts

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Recent experience with healthcare denials and appeals
• Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and reading medical policies from payers
• Preferred experience with Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans
