Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing revenue cycle team, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage insurance follow-up, denial resolution, and collections activities in a remote environment, requiring residency in specific states.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of insurance follow-up and collections, including making calls and accessing payer websites
• Identify root causes of denials and coordinate with management to implement process improvements
• Effectively resolve complex inventory issues and maintain accurate documentation of collection activities

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare accounts receivable or revenue cycle
• Experience in identifying and resolving insurance denials, including eligibility and coding-related issues
• Working knowledge of common denial trends and payer-specific billing requirements
• Strong understanding of appeals and claims follow-up processes
• High school diploma or equivalent required
