Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support effective claims processing, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will review unpaid invoices, contact carriers regarding claims, and maintain accuracy in the ETM system while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review the ETM worklist to identify potential issues with unpaid claims
• Contact carriers via phone or websites to inquire about unpaid claims
• Report trends and errors affecting claims processing to the No Response/Billing Supervisor

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two years of medical billing experience preferred, focusing on research and claim denials
• Knowledge of physician billing and healthcare reimbursement, particularly Medicare and Medicaid
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills
