Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Working fully remote, the full-time Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for collecting outstanding accounts receivable from patients and third-party payers, including following up on claims and payment arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for updates on outstanding claims and process appeals as needed
• Engage with patients to arrange payments on outstanding balances and maintain accurate records
• Work daily with outstanding accounts and maintain a high accuracy rating on audited accounts

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration is preferred
• Two years of collection experience in a healthcare setting is required
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processing guidelines
• Basic knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word and MS Excel
