Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Reviewing unpaid invoices in the ETM System, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage claims processing and communication with carriers while working remotely within the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Review ETM worklist to identify potential problem areas and trends affecting claims processing
• Contact carriers to inquire about unpaid claims through various communication methods
• Participate in monthly meetings and communicate unusual circumstances with supervisors regarding claims

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two years of previous medical billing experience preferred, focusing on research and claim denials
• Demonstrated knowledge of physician billing and healthcare reimbursement, with Medicare and Medicaid experience preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills
