Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support the billing department, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will follow up on complex claims for payment, review rejections, and calculate adjustments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Calls insurance companies and utilizes payor websites to secure outstanding payments
• Reviews rejections from assigned payors to determine validity and takes appropriate action for resolution
• Calculates and posts adjustments based on third-party reimbursement guidelines and contracts

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Previous Revenue Cycle knowledge in areas such as PFS, Customer Service, or 3rd party Reimbursement
• Ability to perform assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• One or more years of experience in health care billing functions preferred
