Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Reviewing unpaid invoices in the ETM System, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure accurate processing of claims while working remotely within the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

Key responsibilities

• Review the ETM worklist to identify potential problem areas in unpaid claims
• Contact carriers to inquire about unpaid claims via websites and phone calls
• Participate in monthly meetings and communicate unusual circumstances to the No Response/Billing Supervisor

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two years of medical billing experience preferred, with a focus on research and claim denials
• Knowledge of physician billing and healthcare reimbursement, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills
