Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Accounts Receivable Resolution Team, the part-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage inquiries from insurance carriers, pursue reimbursements, and coordinate collections while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from insurance carriers with a focus on customer service
• Pursue reimbursement from carriers and track all communications in an electronic system
• Identify patterns of denials and perform complex investigations to resolve outstanding accounts

Required qualifications

• High school diploma is required
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced medical billing environment
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is necessary
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding is required; CPC certification is a plus
• Proven ability in collections and negotiation is highly preferred
