Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing home infusion therapy service, the full-time remote Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for the follow-up, collections, and recovery of problematic accounts due from health insurance payers, working Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage follow-up on accounts, ensuring timely resolution of denials and appeals
• Process claims accurately and maintain a high audit percentage
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction

Required qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience with third-party health insurance claims processing
• Working knowledge of government health insurance plan benefits and reimbursement regulations
• Experience with healthcare patient accounting/billing/collections applications
• Practical experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer contracts
• Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements
