Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Managing insurance accounts receivable, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of payments while proactively following up on claims and resolving payment discrepancies in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned insurance accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement and reduce aging balances
• Investigate and resolve claim denials by submitting corrected claims, appeals, and supporting documentation
• Perform daily payment reconciliation and maintain accurate documentation of AR activities and payer communications

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience with a focus on accounts receivable or insurance billing
• Knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims processing, and payer reimbursement
• Experience resolving claim denials and payment discrepancies
• Proficiency with EMR and medical billing systems
• Experience working remotely with the ability to manage priorities independently
