Job Summary
Working fully remote, the full-time Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for collecting outstanding accounts from patients and third-party payers, processing claims, and maintaining accurate records.
Key responsibilities
- Contact insurance companies for status updates on outstanding claims and process appeals as necessary
- Engage with patients to arrange payments on outstanding balances and manage daily correspondence
- Research and audit patient accounts to ensure accurate payments and adjustments, meeting departmental productivity standards
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
- Two years of collection experience in a healthcare setting is required
- Basic knowledge of insurance processing, medical terminology, and relevant guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, managed care)
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and data entry skills
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes is advantageous
