Job Summary
Working fully remote, the full-time Accounts Receivable Representative will manage the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from patients and third-party payers, including following up on claims and payment arrangements.
Key responsibilities:
- Contact insurance companies for status updates on outstanding claims and process appeals
- Engage with patients regarding payment or payment arrangements for outstanding balances
- Maintain accuracy and productivity standards while managing a daily workload of accounts
Required qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
- Two years of collection experience in a healthcare setting is required
- Basic knowledge of insurance processing, guidelines, and laws, including managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and ASA codes
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word and MS Excel
