Job Summary

Managing accounts receivable for insurance claims, the full-time Accounts Receivable Insurance Specialist will ensure compliance with billing guidelines, resolve claim denials, and follow up on outstanding receivables while working remotely during regular business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Submit timely and accurate claims to health insurance carriers and manage non-complex appeals
• Monitor and resolve unpaid, rejected, and denied claims while documenting collection activities
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper claims processing and address inquiries from patients and payers

Required qualifications

• Experience with Medicare and dual systems in the context of accounts receivable
• Proficiency in electronic and paper billing processes for health insurance claims
• Ability to analyze accounts and determine appropriate actions for resolution
• Familiarity with payer portals and clinical applications for claim substantiation
• Strong background in handling denied and rejected invoices and preparing appeals
