Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Managing accounts receivable for insurance claims, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure compliance with billing guidelines, validate coverage, resolve claim edits, and follow up on outstanding receivables, all while working remotely during regular daytime hours.

Key responsibilities

• Submit timely and accurate claims to health insurance carriers and manage non-complex appeals
• Monitor and resolve unpaid, rejected, and denied claims while documenting collection activities in the billing system
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure correct processing and payment of claims

Required qualifications

• Experience with Medicare billing and DDE processes
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage confidential information in a HIPAA-compliant manner
• Proficiency in using clinical applications and payer websites for claims processing
• Previous experience in accounts receivable or medical billing preferred
