Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Handling complex billing inquiries, the full-time remote Accounts Receivable Escalation Specialist will analyze collections, resolve non-payables, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure appropriate reimbursement for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on claim rejections and denials to secure appropriate reimbursement
• Process assigned AR work lists and write appeals to resolve claim denials
• Research patient accounts and communicate with insurance companies regarding outstanding claims

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in medical billing and claims resolution preferred
• AAHAM and/or HFMA certification preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of medical billing rules and EOBs
• Proficiency in billing software within five weeks of hire
