Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Summary
To support credit and collections activities, the full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist in billing, cash receipts, and monitor customer accounts while working remotely from Colorado or Ohio.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor A/R aging and customer accounts to minimize past due accounts
- Initiate collection calls, emails, and letters while collaborating with Circulation and Advertising Managers
- Perform customer credit analysis and maintain the A/R collections module in the accounting system
Required qualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting processes and controls
- Proficiency in creating Excel spreadsheets using formulas and 10 key operations
- Experience with automated collections/accounts receivable/accounting systems preferred
- GED or high school diploma; Associate's degree preferred
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems with minimal supervision
