Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will review open accounts receivable, analyze unpaid claim balances, and resolve government payer claim denials while adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review open AR and analyze unpaid claim balances
• Research and resolve government payer claim denials efficiently and accurately
• Document all accounts worked on daily and identify issues to escalate as needed

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of major medical insurance collections experience
• 1+ years of Medicare and Medicare Advantage experience
• Advanced understanding of healthcare revenue cycle
• Ability to navigate patient accounting systems and payer portals
