Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure the timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables, the full-time remote Accounts Receivable Specialist II will verify patient eligibility, update insurance information, and conduct research on unpaid claims.

Key responsibilities:

• Verify patient eligibility and authorization for healthcare services through various methods
• Conduct research on unpaid or denied claims and contact payers to secure payment
• Prepare claims for clinical audit processing in cases of authorization or coding denials

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up
• Experience with accounts receivable software and navigating payer sites
• Knowledge of medical business office procedures and third-party payer billing practices
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with payers and document encounters accurately
