Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Accounts Receivable Escalation Specialist, the candidate will analyze collections, resolve non-payables, and handle complex bill inquiries while ensuring claims are paid according to client contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on claim rejections and denials to secure appropriate reimbursements for clients
• Process assigned accounts receivable work lists in a timely manner and write appeals to resolve claim denials
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding the status of outstanding claims and perform follow-up actions as needed

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in medical billing and claims resolution preferred
• AAHAM and/or HFMA certification preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of medical billing rules, including Medicare and Medicaid
• Proficiency in billing software within five weeks of hire
