Job Summary
Providing personal financial counseling services remotely, the full-time Accredited Financial Counselor will assist military service members and their families with financial education, one-on-one counseling, and resource referrals while coordinating workshops and briefings at assigned military installations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families
- Develop and conduct a variety of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops on relevant financial topics
- Utilize virtual counseling tools and maintain communication with military leadership to address trends and issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (associate degree plus 4 years or high school diploma plus 6 years)
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) is required
