Job Summary
Analyzing and evaluating future financial risks, the full-time remote Actuarial Analyst will contribute to product pricing, prepare rate filings, and communicate analytical results to guide decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
- Completes and interprets actuarial analysis, valuations, and modeling using statistical programming and financial theory
- Prepares rate filings and pricing analysis, and assists with the completion of rate filing documents for all states
- Maintains and updates existing models and tools, completing ad hoc reporting as necessary
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Proven ability to pass actuarial exams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, R, or Python is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
