Job Summary
To support actuarial analysis in a remote setting, the full-time salaried Actuarial Analyst II will perform individual project tasks, execute moderate complexity calculations, and transform data into meaningful insights while collaborating on various analyses and reports.
Key responsibilities
- Reviews and organizes actuarial and operational data for analyses such as rate filings and financial forecasts
- Prepares accurate and timely reports related to internal and external analyses
- Participates in special studies and ad hoc analyses to support departmental objectives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience
- 2 years of health insurance actuarial experience
- Progress toward ASA/FSA designation with the Society of Actuaries by passing SOA exams or obtaining VEE credits
- Strong knowledge of calculus, statistics, and probability
- Ability to evaluate large data sets using models and tables
