Actuarial Analyst II

Job Summary

Supporting the reserving function, the full-time remote Actuarial Analyst II will manage quarterly and annual loss reserve analyses, compile and analyze data to estimate liabilities, and collaborate with Finance and Accounting on financial bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual loss reserve analyses using standard actuarial methods and internal/external data sources
• Partner with Finance and Accounting during the quarterly close process to reconcile reserve estimates and respond to inquiries
• Act as a technical reviewer of reserving work, ensuring accuracy and identifying improvements in processes and documentation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Business
• Minimum 2 years of actuarial experience, preferably in the property and casualty insurance industry
• Successful completion of four or more exams toward ACAS/FCAS strongly preferred
• Familiarity with ResQ or a comparable commercial reserving platform preferred
• Solid working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; capacity to learn tools like SQL, VBA, R, and Python
