Actuarial Assistant
Job Summary
To support the Actuarial Development Program, the full-time Actuarial Assistant will rotate through various actuarial departments, utilizing their academic skills to analyze business results, understand insurance product design, and collaborate with a team to drive actuarial solutions while working in a hybrid environment based in Houston, TX, Jersey City, NJ, or Woodland Hills, CA.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize academic skills to collaborate on business and actuarial solutions
- Analyze business results and ensure commitments to policyholders are met
- Make consistent progress in the Society of Actuaries examination process
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or a related quantitative field
- Completion of one or more Society of Actuaries exams
- Prior internship experience preferred
- Familiarity with MS Office, especially Access and Excel
- Programming skills in SAS, Python, Visual Basic, SQL, or C++ are a plus
