Actuarial Assistant (NC Licensed)

Job Summary

Assisting the Liability Analytics & Services team, the full-time Actuarial Assistant (NC Licensed) will support the generation, validation, and delivery of scenario inputs using Python and SQL, while collaborating with actuarial and finance partners in a hybrid or remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support hedging and actuarial functions related to variable annuities and registered-indexed-linked-annuity products
• Produce inputs and outputs for production processes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve data or methodology questions and align on assumptions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science)
• Passed 2 actuarial exams and actively progressing toward the Society of Actuaries (SOA) ASA designation
• Experience in Python and SQL programming preferred
• Experience with actuarial modeling software, preferably PathWise
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and project management abilities
