Job Summary
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the full-time Actuarial Director, Reserves will oversee the monthly accrual process for risk-based contracts, ensuring accurate estimation of reserves and providing insights into financial variances and trends.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the monthly accrual process and reconcile IBNR reserves with financial statements
- Support the development of reserving methodology and data validation controls
- Monitor reserve sufficiency and provide recommendations on provisions for adverse deviations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- 10 or more years of healthcare actuarial work experience
- 3 years of experience in a health insurance reserving capacity
- Experience in establishing provider contract reserves and monitoring settlements
- ASA or FSA designation and membership in the American Academy of Actuaries
