Job Summary
To support the Excess & Surplus (E&S) Brokerage team, the full-time Actuarial Specialist, Ohio Licensed will develop and maintain pricing tools, perform rate and profitability analyses, and collaborate with various business partners to inform underwriting strategy and capital allocation in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain pricing tools and portfolio views for evaluating complex risk submissions
- Perform rate and profitability analyses by segment to identify trends and inform underwriting strategies
- Serve as a resource for ad hoc pricing questions, assisting leadership in responding to market changes
Required qualifications:
- Property & casualty actuarial experience (generally 3+ years) in a pricing function, preferably with E&S or wholesale brokerage
- ACAS credential with a commitment to continued advancement in actuarial exams
- Technical proficiency in Excel and at least one programming/statistical tool (e.g., SQL, R, Python)
- Strong business partnering skills, comfortable engaging with underwriters and finance leadership
- Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field
