Adjunct College Reading Instructor

Job Summary

To support students in developing foundational reading and comprehension skills, the part-time Adjunct College Reading Instructor will deliver engaging online instruction, participate in classroom discussions, grade assignments, and provide timely feedback in a remote learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality online instruction focused on active reading strategies and critical thinking
• Foster a supportive learning environment and maintain strong communication with students
• Provide constructive feedback and connect course content to real-world applications

Required qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Education, Reading/Literacy, English, Communication, Social Science, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience teaching or tutoring in reading or literacy development at the secondary or postsecondary level
• Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for improving reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
• Ability to create inclusive online learning environments that support diverse adult learners
• Experience using educational technology and learning management systems for online instruction
