Adjunct College Writing Instructor

Job Summary

To support adult learners in an accelerated online environment, the part-time Adjunct College Writing Instructor will teach foundational college writing courses, engage in classroom discussions, grade assignments, and respond to student inquiries remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Facilitate a student-centered learning environment through active engagement and timely feedback
• Collaborate with university departments to support student success and maintain accurate student records
• Provide instructive feedback that challenges students and enhances their writing skills

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in English, Composition, Rhetoric, Literature, or a related field
• Experience teaching, tutoring, or supporting writing development at the college level
• Ability to create inclusive and engaging online learning environments
• Skill in using educational technology and learning management systems for online instruction
• Commitment to a student-centered approach and proactive outreach to support student success
