Adjunct Faculty - Microbiology

Job Summary

To support the Master of Biomedical Science program, the part-time Adjunct Faculty - Microbiology will provide expert instruction in microbiology and cell biology, mentor students, and engage with the online learning environment while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge in cell biology and microbiology while facilitating class instruction
• Guide students through their educational experience and respond to inquiries within 24 hours
• Engage in the online course portal a minimum of 5 times per week and host virtual office hours weekly

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Biology; Ph.D. preferred
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience in the area of Biology
• Experience teaching online in an educational setting and expertise in curriculum development
• Desire to motivate and encourage students in academic and professional settings
• Familiarity with the Brightspace/D2L Learning Management system
