Adjunct Fire Science Instructor

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time Adjunct Fire Science Instructor to effectively teach college-level courses and/or labs in Fire Science, with potential for remote or hybrid work within select states, based on semester needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction in Fire Science courses and labs
• Utilize technology and the Learning Management System (Canvas) to enhance student learning
• Provide documentation or references to validate teaching effectiveness and field experience

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent; an Associate Degree in Fire Science or related field preferred
• At least five years of experience in the fire service relevant to the courses being taught
• Prior teaching experience is preferred
• Experience with traditional, hybrid, and online course delivery methods
• Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone for communication with students
