Adjunct Instructor in Chemistry

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Adjunct Instructor in Organic Chemistry or Biochemistry.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement in 5-week undergraduate-level courses in organic chemistry, biochemistry, and related subjects
• Teach courses asynchronously with an average of 20 students per course
• Provide timely feedback, engage in Discussion Board tasks, and respond to student inquiries

Required Qualifications

• Possess a terminal degree (e.g., PhD) in chemistry or a related discipline, or a master's degree with significant professional experience
• Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the institution
• Experience teaching adult learners and/or in an online context is preferred
