Job Summary
To support the educational needs of students, the part-time Adjunct Japanese Language Instructor will effectively teach college-level courses, develop instructional materials, evaluate student learning, and maintain student records, with the possibility of remote or hybrid work within certain states.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and revise instructional materials and present course content in an organized manner
- Evaluate student learning and maintain accurate student records while teaching assigned classes
- Participate in Adjunct Professional Development activities and hold office hours as required
Required qualifications
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a relevant field from an accredited institution
- Prior teaching experience preferred, with familiarity in traditional, hybrid, and online course formats
- Experience using learning management systems, specifically Canvas, and technology-enhanced curriculum
- Access to home internet, personal computer, and telephone for communication with students
- Commitment to equity and inclusiveness, with sensitivity to diverse populations
