Adjunct Japanese Language Instructor

Job Summary

Teaching remotely on a part-time basis, the Adjunct Japanese Language Instructor will engage students in a hands-on, project-based course focused on Japanese language and culture, aiming to develop cultural competency and basic language skills for everyday life in Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction and motivate them to succeed
• Guide students in collaborative, problem- and project-based learning demonstrations
• Provide constructive feedback and assess student work using effective rubrics

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Japanese, Japanese Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Three years of experience teaching the Japanese language
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred
