Adult Cardiac Abstractor

Job Summary

To support registry operations, the part-time Adult Cardiac Abstractor will manage remote data abstraction tasks, ensuring adherence to project guidelines and quality standards while collaborating with management to meet project goals.

Key responsibilities

• Follows project parameters and industry guidelines for data abstraction and registry operations
• Stays current on abstraction requirements and specifications, consulting with management as needed
• Meets defined quality and productivity standards for each assigned project and case type

Required qualifications

• Two or more years of abstraction experience in the STS Adult Cardiac Surgery Database Registry
• Proficient in clinical registry data abstraction specifications and electronic medical record applications
• Ability to work independently and manage committed work hours effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google products
• Preferred qualifications include RN, RHIA/RHIT, or CPHQ certification
